The PGK Dance Project is a critically acclaimed, award winning contemporary repertory dance company originally founded in Munich, Germany now based in San Diego, California. Our mission is to create and produce affordable, dance performances of the highest quality that promote and represent diversity and community in entertaining, innovative ways and that educate and develop audiences for dance.
Our performances happen in both theater and alternate spaces and known for creating appreciation and awareness for the arts where dance is a cultural expression available and intended for everyone. Whether at home or on tour our objective is to engage community support of the arts where the arts can in turn support and promote community.
The PGK Dance Project performs the award winning work of its Artistic Director, Peter G. Kalivas and that of a variety of entertaining inventive choreographers of today. The company’s performances matched with its accessible creative outreach are presented locally, regionally, nationally and internationally throughout the year.
